Direct sowing is recommended. We recommend that you soak the seeds overnight and then direct sow them in fertile well draining soil in the early spring approximately 2.5 cm deep. Pinch back when 15 cm high and this is the time to install netting or strings for support so they can climb up.
Mulch the plants to keep the roots cool. If you cut the flowers often to prevent seeds from forming and continue cutting, they will keep on flowering until very late in the season!
