LACY PHACELIA - (Phacelia tanacetifolia)

This hardy, attractive wildflower is native to California and Arizona deserts. Gardeners appreciate its excellent cover crop benefits, as well as its ability to attract bees and other beneficial pollinating insects. Its genus, Phacelia, originates from the Greek word for "cluster," describing the plant's growth habit. The species name, "tanacetifolia," derives from tansy, a delicate plant whose foliage resembles Phacelia's.
