Growing Information

  • Plant Type: Annual & Perennial Mix
  • Sun Requirements: Full Sun (6–8+ hours daily)
  • Height: Approximately 12–48 inches (30–120 cm), depending on variety
  • Bloom Time: Late Spring through Fall
  • Plant Spacing: Broadcast or approximately 6–12 inches (15–30 cm) apart
  • Seed Depth: Lightly press into soil or cover with no more than ⅛ inch (3 mm) of soil
  • Days to Germination: 7–30 days, depending on variety

How to Grow

Prepare a weed-free seedbed by loosening the soil and removing existing vegetation. Scatter seeds evenly over the planting area and lightly rake them into the soil, covering them with no more than ⅛ inch of soil. Keep the soil consistently moist until germination. Once established, most varieties are drought tolerant and require very little maintenance. Removing spent blooms will encourage continued flowering throughout the season.

Stratification

None required for the mix. Some perennial varieties may naturally benefit from winter cold exposure and may bloom more heavily in their second growing season.
