Radish – Watermelon Radish (Raphanus raphanistrum subsp. sativus) Heirloom Round Daikon Watermelon Radishes Vegetable
Annual
Excellent delicate tasting watermelon radishes! Plants produce a ball-shaped root that can reach 10 cm in diameter. The green external colour fades to white and once the radish is cut, you will find a bright red flesh just like that of a watermelon, hence the name.
The taste is delicate with a sweet and mild flavour. Excellent in salads, as a garnish or when cooking Asian dishes.
