Height

Burgess Buttercup Squash are known for their sweet nutty flavor. Turban type fruits with dark green skin (with some light green to cream lines) grow on sturdy vining plants that grow to 50 cm (20”) high with vines reaching 4.6 m (15’) long.   A single plant can produce between 12-15 squash and will not take up a lot of room like a standard buttercup squash.

The fruit is dark green, slightly ribbed and the flesh is a rich golden orange, and is string- less. Squash can weigh between 1.3-2.2 kg, (3-5 lbs.) each and have a gray button on the blossom end. Stores well.

  • Seeds should germinate in 7-14 days.
