Full description
Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) is a highly aromatic evergreen tree native to Australia, prized for its intense natural lemon fragrance. Its glossy green leaves contain exceptionally high levels of citral, giving it a stronger and sweeter lemon scent than lemon peel. In summer, it produces clusters of small, creamy-white flowers that attract pollinators. Lemon Myrtle is widely grown for culinary, medicinal, and ornamental use, and is well suited to containers when young or grown as a compact tree with pruning. It is an excellent choice for herb gardens, edible landscapes, and fragrance gardens.
