Sanguisorba – Great Burnet (Sanguisorba officinalis) Non-GMO – Organically Grown – Flower

Perennial

Prefers full sun to light partial shade

Full description:

Sanguisorba officinalis, commonly known as Great Burnet, is a hardy perennial wildflower known for its elegant, deep crimson, bottlebrush-like flower heads that rise gracefully above feathery, serrated foliage. Blooming from midsummer into fall, this plant adds vertical interest and rich color to meadows, borders, and pollinator gardens. Native to Europe and Asia, Great Burnet is also valued for its ecological benefits—attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. Its ornamental appeal is matched by its history in traditional herbal medicine and culinary use.
