Charming Acroclinium roseum is native to South America, Africa, Australia, and Tasmania, and is a member of the Daisy family, Compositae. The name is derived from the Greek words helios (sun) and pteron (wing).Summer blooms in gorgeous pink, white, and white with yellow centres. Drought resistant. Makes excellent dried flowers.

  • Rich well draining soil
  • Sow directly outdoors after all risk of frost has passed. Broadcast the seeds over the soil bed, and cover it with a thin layer of sieved sand to allow germination.
  • Spacing: 10 to 15 in
  • Water in lightly - keep the soil moist until germination.
  • OR start indoors 4 to 5 weeks prior to last frost; surface sow and press in to make contact with soil - cover lightly with sieved sand. Transplant to outdoors when the seedlings are strong enough to handle.
