Nicotiana, also referred to as Night-Scented Tobacco or Flowering Tobacco, is usually grown as an annual for its sweet jasmine like scent. Long slender tubular WHITE flowers open only in the evening or during the cooler parts of the day.

A native of Brazil, Nicotiana was introduced into garden cultivation in England in 1829 and is a favourite for any cottage type garden or border. Plant this heavenly scented tall specimen by seating areas. NOTE: The stems and leaves of the plant are used for commercial purposes. This plant is used in the production of cigars, chewing tobacco, and nicotine replacement products and contains nicotine.
