Tomato - Pear - Golden Yellow (Solanum lycopersicum) Organic Tomatoes Heirloom Vegetable Fruit

Annual

Indeterminate

This is a fantastic heirloom cherry tomato dating back to the early 1600's. Yellow Pear Cherry Tomato vines produce clusters of beautiful 3-5 cm pear shaped tomatoes in colours ranging from lemon to golden yellow, and they have a mild, sweet flavour. Excellent yields.

Tomatoes love rich soil. Add some compost when setting out.

  • Full Sun
  • Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4 in deep and keep soil warm. Transplant into 1 in cells or 2 in pots at 1-2 leaf stage. NOTE: If the plants get leggy due to lack of light, when you transplant them out, bury more of the plant stem. It will not affect the growth and the plant will produce roots along the buried stem. Spacing: 80 cm apart.
  • Staking tomatoes (indeterminate) should be transplanted into 3-4 inch pots.
  • Harden off plants for 4-5 days after risk of frost has passed, then transplant outdoors.
  • Maturity 85 days
  • Seed Count: 20
