4 B's Intro
Bees. Birds. Butterflies. Bugs.
Without these pollinators, we would have a third less food to eat!
Did you know that bees are the major pollinators in North America and they perform over 70% of the pollination services?
There are 855 species of native bees in Canada -- bumble bees, mason bees, sweat bees, leaf cutting bees, mining bees, squash bees and more -- in addition to the western domesticated honey bee. And they all need our help!
Planting and growing native food sources for pollinators like beetles, bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and moths (and even flies) will help them survive, and your garden blossom.
Let’s all pull together and feed the 4 B pollinators!
If you enjoy planting and gardening and do your best to grow what you eat, it might be a good time to join our Bumbleseeds community.
We created our Bumbleseeds brand and online community in an effort to help all gardeners create beautiful and bountiful gardens that will also attract pollinators of all kinds.
Check out the links to each page and find out what seed collection attracts these pollinators.
