Baby Blue has a more conical and smaller body with grey skin and an orange interior. Hubbard squash, botanically classified as Cucurbita maxima, is also known as green pumpkin and buttercup squash and is a vine that produces small 3-4 kg (7-9 lb) squashes that have orange flesh and attractive, bluish grey skins.

- Direct Sow: Plant seeds in slightly acidic and well draining soil with plenty of organic matter. Sow 1/2 in to 1 inch deep in hills 3 - 5 ft apart when the soil is warm ( 70 F).
