Description

Little Boo Baby Pumpkin is an absolutely adorable miniature pumpkin variety producing charming creamy-white to ivory pumpkins that look beautiful growing in the garden and make wonderful autumn decorations.

These tiny pumpkins typically mature at only around 2–3 inches across, making them one of the cutest additions to a fall harvest. Their petite size, flattened shape and subtle ribbing give them a classic miniature pumpkin appearance.

Little Boo isn’t just decorative! The little fruits are edible, with flesh that can be cooked and enjoyed. Their small size also makes them especially fun for children, fall displays, table settings, farmers’ market baskets and Thanksgiving décor.

Plants develop vigorous trailing vines that can produce multiple miniature pumpkins per plant when given plenty of sunshine, fertile soil, water and room to grow.

Growing Little Boo Pumpkin From Seed

Pumpkins love warmth and should be planted once the soil has warmed and all danger of frost has passed.

Seeds can be started indoors approximately 2–4 weeks before your last expected frost or direct sown outdoors once conditions are warm.

Plant seeds approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep.

When starting indoors, use individual biodegradable or roomy pots whenever possible, as pumpkins develop quickly and generally do not like having their roots disturbed.

Keep the soil warm and consistently moist during germination.

When transplanting seedlings outdoors, gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions first.

Plant in rich, fertile, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter. Give vines adequate room to spread or carefully train them where space permits.

Water deeply and consistently, particularly while plants are flowering and developing pumpkins. Water near the base of the plant rather than routinely soaking the foliage.

Pumpkin plants produce separate male and female flowers and depend heavily on bees and other pollinators to produce fruit.
