Growing Instructions:

  • Sunlight: Frilly Edible Chrysanthemums thrive in full sun but can tolerate partial shade.
  • Soil: Well-drained, loamy soil is ideal for these plants. Ensure good soil fertility by adding organic matter.
  • Planting: Sow seeds directly in the garden bed after the last frost date or start indoors and transplant seedlings when they are about 2-3 inches tall.
  • Spacing: Space the seedlings about 8-12 inches apart to allow room for growth.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water at the base of the plant to prevent fungal issues.
  • Fertilization: Apply a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer every 4-6 weeks to encourage healthy growth.
  • Pruning: Pinch back the young plants to encourage bushier growth and more prolific flowering.
