Full Description

Agastache ‘Tango’, commonly known as Orange Hyssop, Hummingbird Mint, or AGTA Hyssop, is a vibrant, aromatic perennial prized for its bold tangerine-orange tubular flowers and long blooming season. The upright flower spikes rise above fragrant, mint-scented foliage, releasing a sweet anise-like aroma when brushed or crushed.

‘Tango’ is exceptionally attractive to hummingbirds, bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making it one of the best nectar plants for wildlife gardens. Its intense orange blooms bring warmth and movement to borders, herb gardens, cottage gardens, and container plantings.

This variety is also valued for its drought tolerance once established and its ability to thrive in poor, well-drained soils where many other flowering perennials struggle.

  • Mild respiratory relief
  • Calming teas

Leaves are often used fresh or dried for herbal teas, with a pleasant mint-licorice flavour.

‘Tango’ is primarily grown as an ornamental and pollinator plant, but like other Agastache varieties, it is edible and aromatic.
